Hello Everyone, I, SUDHEER UPPALAPATI (u12ch038), an inmate of Swami Vivekanand Bhavan, am contesting for the post of Hostel Sports Secretary. We have built this manifesto after prolonged discussions with many students to provide necessary facilities in the field of sports. 01. Badminton facility can be arranged for in the vacant area of the hostel’s square wing. 02. The space left unused as of now, between C-wing and Square wing, can be cleaned and turned into a volleyball court. 03. Certificates shall be provided to the winners of intra-hostel sport events in a timely manner. 04. Hostel games will be conducted once in a semester and not once a year. 05. Transparency will be brought about in the hostel’s team-selection process for MMNCT. 06. Timely display of information/notices regarding various sport events will be ensured through the hostel notice board. 07. Adequate quantity of well-conditioned sport equipment will be ensured for the hostel inmates. 08. Inspection of damaged equipment will be carried out fortnightly; replacement/procurement will be taken care of as and when required. 09. Gym equipment such as dumbbells, yoga mats and skipping-ropes will be provided. 10. Separate rooms for indoor games (chess, carom etc.) will be allocated inside the hostel premises. 11. Initiative will be taken to provide pool table after consulting with Chief Warden. 12. Every floor will be provided with 2 TT rooms, 1 in square wing and 1 in y-wing. Hope you liked my manifesto.
