Hello Everyone! Well, today Camp Jackson moved into the future. I spent part of the morning packing up my land line phone system...both in the house and in the shop. And the internet router came down as well. Just so many telephone cords that will never be used again! It seems so strange not to have a phone on my desk in the shop. And that little bitty Verizon Jetpack hotspot box...the size of a bar of soap... bringing in the internet at zillion times the speed of the old DSL land line with router. How did I ever get anything done on the computer with such slow speeds of my old DSL internet service? Then there is the old cell phones! What to do with all this stuff? I am so pleased with my Verizon service out at remote Camp Jackson. It is unbelievable that my service could be so good...at lightening speed. Those of you, that have visited Camp Jackson probably have noticed the old crank phone hanging on the wall in the family room. It was the very first phone that my great grandparents had at the old ranch house. What a family treasure it is to me. Maybe I should hang my land line phones on the wall beside it...what do you all think? Well, today is one that I will remember. One day, before long...there will be no landline service as the cell phones get better and better. Kind of sad about that...but time moves on.
