Hello UUCV Family and HAPPY 2015!!!!! This is a reminder that beginning January 6th and running for 6 consecutive Tuesdays, I (Lindsey) will be teaching a class at church called Parents as Social Justice Educators. Parents as Social Justice Educators provides great, interactive sessions on values clarification and how to talk about social issues. We will also touch on material aimed at raising non-prejudiced children from the Anti-Defamation League. These are fun workshops with lots of time built in for us to explore our own prejudices and share personal stories. We will be doing the hard work of figuring out how to talk about social issues with our kids through the filter of being UU parents. So again, this group will meet Tuesday nights beginning Jan. 6th and running until Feb. 10th from 6:30pm - 8:30pm. Childcare will be provided, as will snacks and coffee!
