Hello Whitmore Lake, To start I want to tell you that our “Restore the Pride” campaign has been a huge sucsess. Thanks to the local businesss that took part and all of you. The high school football team has had a great season. As of the time I am writing this they are 4 and 4 with 1 more game in the regular season to go. And a very good chance of making the playoffs. GO TROJANS! This has brought a LOT of pride back to our community. Now to build on this, I would like to announce the next step in bringing the community together. The “Decorate for December” campaign. What we are perposing is to build on the librarys kick off of the holiday season. As most of you know the Township Library kicks off the season with a Tree Lighting celebration the first week in December. They have several activities planned and we want to add to this. We are asking you to decorate your houses with lights, blow ups, and what ever else you deem fit for the holidays. Also we want to urge all the local businesss to decorate inside and out. A week or so before Christmas we will get a handful of judges to travel around the community and pick the winners, and with the help of local businesss suppling prize packages we will give out prizes to the top 3 homes and for the businesss I am thinking of a placard or trophey that could be proudly displayed. This will be open to both home owners as well as renters. And lastly if you have extra decorations or some extra time that you would like to donate to those that might want to particapate but are having a tuff time this year or to help those that cant get out to decorate due to age or disabilty.
