Hello and welcome to our 50 new friends! We are the RSPCA - TopicsExpress

Hello and welcome to our 50 new friends! We are the RSPCA Sheffield Branch, a separately registered Charity to the National RSPCA. What is the difference, I hear you ask? Well.....the National RSPCA employ the Inspectors, run the national cruelty helpline (0300 1234 999) and investigate/prosecute animal cruelty. If you wish to report concerns for an animal you must do this via the Natioanl RSPCA. The RSPCA Sheffield Branch is an animal rehabilitation and rehoming centre, based in Attercliffe. We work with cats, dogs, rabbits and guinea pigs that have been rescued from abuse, neglect or cruelty and we help members of the public who are in despereate need. We have a welfare veterniary clinic onsite, for those on low incomes and in receipt of certain benefits and we have 4 charity shops in Sheffield, which sell donated goods to raise money for the animal centre. We have to generate all our own running costs (around £2000 per day is needed to run the centre) and we raise this in the Sheffield area alone. We rely on the support of people in Sheffield, to help keep our animal centre going.
