Here are my submissions for parent failure of the year so far (that I can remember): 1. Left a pair of scissors on the floor and walked away, Whitney caught Boden with them in his hand moments before he put the pointy end in his mouth. 2. When he first started sitting up, i got comfortable and let him sit in my lap and for a moment I didnt keep my arms around him like a safety belt while sitting on a chair. Just when my guard was down, he dove head first toward the edge of the coffee table. I caught him an inch from a direct corner blow from about 2 feet away. 3. Recently I put him on the floor and turned my back for seriously two seconds to grab a pair of pants, only to have him dart for the stairs. Just a week before and he was not near as fast. Anyway, when I saw he was gone i ran after him, thank God he stopped at the cat bowl for snack before tumbling down. 4. Finally, this morning, I let him crawl on the bed and in one fast motion he darted right over the edge head first. I dove after him across the bed and caught him by his left ankle, his face was literally an inch from the floor. I pulled the baby rabbit to safety, and he was a little surprised by all the fuss but survived without a scratch. Kid had me scared there for a second. Who knew he would just dive head first off the bed. Well, now I do :D Babies are dangerous, just in case you didnt know, they are crazy and then become fast and suicidal. Just wait until he can run, which is probably about a day away. Pray for me. I say me, because Whitney is a natural at all this and probably has had zero fails.
