Here is a recipe for cookies to celebrate the new year. Its very popular in the north of Holland and the north of Germany. Ingredients for about 100 pieces: 125 gr of butter 1 egg 250 gr hard lumps of sugar (kandis) 250 ml water 500 ml milk 500 gr flour 1 desertspoon cinamon 1 desertspoon kardamom 1desertspoon anis Dissolve the sugar and butter in the warm water then put the rest of the ingredients in and stir untill its smooth It needs to be very liquid so if needed add some water. then you put a big tablespoon of this mixture and let it bake for about 20 seconds in the baking iron, then you take the hot cookie with a fork and twist it round a piece of wood and turn it into a little tube. you fill the cookie with wipped cream.
