Here is a write up of the album not by a music critic, but by someone who like us grew up in the hills and is now a leader in his own right fighting for the underdogs. Thank you Jigme Ugen. MUSIC WORTH BUYING FOR Brilliant fusion of instruments that capture the unique sounds from the Himalayan mountains with melodic celtic-based riffs presented in uncluttered bluegrass arrangements making it evocative and timeless. The musicianship is outstanding - unpretentious and earnest; and I appreciated the fact that none of the instruments ever overwhelm the message and the beauty of the words. I first heard my homeboy Bipul Chettris songs a year ago, when I was going through probably what was possibly one of the most difficult and recovering phases in my life. And Bipul Chettris music helped me trounce and toughen each passing moment. Its not simply the music, but the magic behind the experience that launched me to happier and inspiring places. And it still makes me contented, every time. It gives me great pleasure to share that music with you. Listen to it. Fall in Love. Buy it. Share it. My top favourite is the ‘Wildfire” - the lyrics are beautiful play on words, creating similies between the effects of an uncontrollable wildfire, to a recovering heartbreak reignited; the gusty winds feeding the flames to the unmanageable thoughts of a wandering mind. The patient wait for his womans return compared to the desire of fulfilment between reality and dreams made impossible like the separation of nights with days.
