Heres a valuable tip from Elizabeth on how best to use leftover Halloween candy to create new favourites! Before you start the cookie dough, look out for any leftover candy. It can usually be found in the bottom of bags, bowls and cupboards. Break or crush the candy into pieces, depending on the texture you want in the cookie. Let your imagination run wild and experiment with different taste combinations sweet – sour, sweet- salty, crunch- smooth, hard- soft. Mix your candy into the basic cookie dough recipe below, or sprinkle the candy mixture on top for a crunchy yummy texture, BASIC COOKIE DOUGH 1 c. butter 1 c. brown sugar 1 c. sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 3 c. flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1/4 tsp. salt Cream butter, add sugars and mix well.
