Heres how to deal with some of this bullsh*t. First, NEVER put your real phone number down on your account or online. Get a P.O. box for mail if you must put an address, but now-a-days you can do it all by online contact, so it affords you some privacy. The reason these bastards can come to your house and get away with this is because YOU agree to let them when you sign the contract to have one of their credit cards. So first thing to do is either close your account, or transfer the balance to another card and then close the account. Another HIGHLY effective maneuver (Ive done this) is to send them a Cease and Desist letter. Tell them to Cease and Desist contacting you by all means (and list those means...for example, phone, physical visit, etc). List the only means of contact thats permissible is in writing by mail. You want the hardcopy in case you need it for evidence. If you dont want to receive emails, let them know and if they ignore you, change the account. Also, change your phone number. Ive done all these things and they all worked. Got rid of the vermin and finally closed the account. Closed all my CC accounts, and although its tough, I have been living within my means without credit cards for over 2 years. Its a blessing. Now they are all sending me offers again and they all go directly into the shredder. These companies are the worst reflection of our society and whats happened to humanity in general.
