Heres my list of the top 6 directors I would like to see direct a Starwars movie: 1. Joss Whedon (cuz Firefly) 2. Alfonso Cuarón (Did you see Gravity? No? Stop what you are doing and go see it right now.) 3. Guillermo del Toro (it would be a little different, but that could be good for the franchise) 4. Steven Spielberg (has a long-standing connection with the franchise) 5. Andy Serkis (Second-Unit Director on the Hobbit movies and will direct a version of the Jungle Book...plus, hes Gollum.) 6. Kenneth Branagh (might add some nice drama to the action) Close, but no cigar: 1. Christopher Nolan (great director, but I have a feeling he would not be good for Star Wars. No real reasons, just a gut thing) 2. The Cohen Brothers (could have some cool ideas, but a Star Wars version of Fargo wouldnt go over very well with young audiences) 3. Peter Jackson (he would never do it, and probably shouldnt) 4. Terry Gilliam (While I would like to see what he would do with Star Wars, I cant help thinking it would not be great for wide release.) 5. Richard Attenborough (again, he could do some neat stuff, but it would make for a loooooooong Star Wars movie) Any thoughts?
