Hey Band! We want YOU! On the 29th, 30th, and 31st of August, Wayne State and Tom Adams Field are hosting high school football teams (and their bands) to kick off their seasons. We would like volunteers to help the visiting bands and recruit potential warriors. 2-4 students per group would be ideal. 1 auxiliary, 1perc and 1 wind/brass at best. The director will have a small kit with some oil, multi-tool, tape, etc. for the helpers to offer in case of simple equipment emergencies. Helpers will meet the bands as they arrive, help with directions, bathrooms, concessions, around the field. Helpers should also wear what they wore for the convocations performance. Here is the schedule for this weekend: Thursday, August 29 o 4:00 PM Game – Dearborn High School Band only. o 7:00 PM Game – No bands Friday, August 30 o 1:00 PM Game – No Bands o 4:00 PM Game – Oak Park High School Band only. o 7:00 PM Game – Cass Tech High School Band and Southfield High School Band Saturday, August 31 o 1:30 PM Game – No bands o 5:00 PM Game – Warren De La Salle Collegiate Band and Toledo Central Catholic High School Band.
