Hey best weekend ever. Spent yesterday with my mate. Watching movies and eating food and getting lost in Auckland. Bernie Griffen and The Thin Men. On Friday night I got to experience Bernie, Kirsten and The Thin Men at the Titirangi RSA. A different gig than the night before but equally awesome. Bernie Griffen is a man that inspires loyalty and love in his friends and allies. If you know the big fella then you know what I mean. He even told me off, I was waffling (as usual) Be Direct! He says to me. Always learning when Im with my mate Bernie. I managed to sell a few of his CDs and even offloaded a couple of mine on his punters. If you left Bernies gig with one of my CDs I say Enjoy and Thank you! I got to see The Nukes too. very polished and entertaining but a little contrived for my tastes. Inathuentic and loses its soul in its earnest efforts to be authentic. Thats what I think, Im sometimes wrong and I rarely bother voicing any negative review but in this case I make an exception. Heres Peter Tosh and Mick. Reminds me of my Mum and Dad this song. I hope your weekend was as good as mine. Me and Hayden gonna get together today and review last weeks trip into Hip Hop.
