Hey everyone. My name is Villi and this is the beginning of a project with purpose and a mission. That mission is to bring people closer together through an understanding of each other. I literally have no experience in Photography. I work full time at the Auckland Art Gallery, having spent countless hours in front of the works of people such as Andreas Gursky and Thomas Demand, they put a spell on me and turned my life into a gallery. On top of that I study full time on my days off at the University of Auckland. I study Literature and Philosophy so always Im wrestling with deep timeless questions of the soul and psychoanalytical theories of language and identity. I was conceived in Auckland, schooled in Auckland, played rugby in Auckland, worked all over this city and made friends from all walks of life in this city. I have to have just as much chutzpah as Brandon Stanton because ultimately this project can only go forward through encountering people and scenarios that inspire me everyday - of which there are a lot at that inspire me everyday in the city. If youd like to meet me just ask for me at the Auckland Art Gallery from Wednesday to Sunday. Its easy to type words behind a screen but what I want is to encourage people to be more out and about and have more authentic face to face interaction with other human beings. To relax and be more vocal and have personal confidence in who you are as an individual. I hope you can qualify me in your hearts to bring you the stories and paint you a picture of the city I love the most. And do bear with me I am getting a better camera next Wednesday. To finish off I want to thank all my friends and family for their support with this page.
