Hey everyone! Spring is in the air, and I wanted to give you - TopicsExpress

Hey everyone! Spring is in the air, and I wanted to give you all an update on what weve been up to in the studio over the last few months. Im extraordinarily excited about the two organ players that have agreed to put their sounds on Wire and Wood over the last few weeks. Don Airey is perhaps best known for his role as organist in Deep Purple. He has a list of incredible credits as long as your arm, and worked with my producer Martin in the 70s on Andrew Lloyd Webbers Variations and later with Gary Moore. Fortunately, he was a fan of Out along the wire and agreed to do a session for us on this album, which has been a unique and sensitive addition to the feel of the record. Ricky Peterson has played on some of my favourite albums including Johnny Langs Lie to Me and several John Mayer albums, including Continuum. I met him on the road while I was supporting Robben Ford last April - he was playing organ in his awesome band. Indeed he is the organist on Robbens great new album One Day in Nashville which you should check out! I dropped him an email recently to see if he would lend his world class sounds to the album and he generously obliged. Suffice to say that what he has added is absolutely stunning. Legend... Alongside these additions I have been hard at work putting final polish to most of the tracks, and Martin and I now think we will be wrapped up by the end of May. That would put us on target for a late summer release. So hold on to your hats, we are almost there. Thanks for your support, Ill be back with an update after I hit the studio again in early May. Tris. x
