Hey folks...the cold front is moving quickly through the Big Country as we speak...producing fairly widespread 30 to 40 mph northwest winds. Probably reaching Sweetwater by 1130 or so...and move into Abilene around midnight. The storms will follow the front into the area...so you will feel the strong winds first. Most of the storms will produce some pea size hail and gusty winds and dangerous lightning. But a few may strengthen to severe levels and produce larger hail and stronger winds. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 3 AM.
