Hey gang, We are hosting our 2014 Dallas Ukulele Headquarters Concert Series and have the following artists booked for both a workshop and concert. I know there hasn’t been a lot of activities lately, so don’t miss these! August 16 (Saturday) - Kevin Carroll from Austin, TX September 27 (Saturday) - Pops Bayless from Austin, TX October 11 (Saturday) - Cary Cooper from Troubadour, TX We have changed the venue for these three events. Please make note we have a new location: Christian Care Centers located in Mesquite, TX located off of I-30 and Northwest Drive. It’s very important that we support professional uke players who have made the commitment to travel here and support us. There are many nice features about us moving to this venue, including, no obligation to purchase food or drinks for either event. We believe that our very precious dollars should go to the Artist. At the same time, Kathy and I wanted to update you and let you know that we have “landed” and moved into our new home in Little Elm, TX on July 23rd followed by my having foot surgery the following day. We are still in “up-packing” mode as well and I am still non-weight bearing and will be off my feet for 6-8 weeks. So we are looking at mid September before I will be in a walking boot. At that time, we will re-evaluate our ability to start-up again the Dallas Ukulele Headquarter meetups, with our Jam Sessions, Open Mics, and Beginner Workshops as we have done over the past 7 years.
