Hi Art Lovers A fun day in the studio finishing this piece and decided to take it out side among the trees to get this pic. Girl and her Lady Bugs I painted this for an amazing entwined family that I know will be all together tonight and will hopefully see this... Sunday nights is their special night together I was told ;) This family really represents what can happen if you are brave enough and have the courage to reach out and find that true love when it hasnt worked in the past. The swans are the beautiful couple that have these four amazing children but only together have one. That is Lily in the middle. Swans only ever have one soul mate one true love they will search for and find in their lifetime. Once a year these birds molt their feathers and are known to, at this time , to gather their family up and swim on the lakes together until their feathers grow back to fly.I wanted this painting to portray that, for them all to be gathering together to share some time together. Lily in the middle is holding lady bugs and letting lady bugs go. The Celtic symbolism for a lady bug is if you catch one and let it go it will go and land on the person you love and let them know. Lily is the one that connects this family together being the sibling that is from the two swans together and she is letting all her family members know not only how much they mean to her but how much she loves them and how fortunate she is to have them all as her family. Each sibling has his or her own special qualities and gifts, and are painted to represented these. The beautiful soft pink and white crane,Lilys Sister, known to be messengers of God, will bring many amazing messengers to the world being a deep connected beautiful soul that this beautiful girl is. She is strong and independent ,hence the flight upward and out ward but her deep soul and beautiful soft and loving nature is what shines through...she has many amazing things to bring to this world and to inspire many people.. The purple Turtle is Lilys brother and he is a teacher,we never give teachers enough credit for the amazing work they do and this brother is no exception with his gorgeous little students following behind him he will teach them gratitude appreciation and will inspire them to find their place in the world with his knowledge and wisdom.I painted him a dark purple and turquoise to represent his depth of character and beautiful soul. Then we have the beautiful colourful butterfly tucked in the garden under the protection of dads wing. This sister still a little unsure about the world and where she fits in but as her colours develop and her wings get stronger she will fly to great heights and the world will be dazzled by her gifts..it takes time sometimes to find our wings but when this butterfly does she will soar and find true happiness. This painting brings with it a message of true love; hope; connection and togetherness. Everyones family is different and to be a part of any family what ever it consists of ,is pretty spesh.
