Hi Everyone, Well Balaklava was well and truly alive on Saturday with masses of people moving around the main shopping area. I heard that the Pop-Up Shop girls stopped counting the numbers coming through the door because it too hard to do accurately. The Christmas Fair in the Town Hall also had a good number with it being so busy that at times it was difficult to move about. The Beadwork Gallery raised hundreds of dollars for typhoon relief from the sale of donated goods. All up, it was an affirmation of the effort that many people have put into events for this little town- well done to the Pop-Up girls, Brenda and Linda. The specials this week are- • Royal Gala Apples- $3.99 per kilo • Rainbow Fresh 100g Sweet Mix, Mesculin, Spinach, Rocket or Cos packs- $2.39 each • Rockmelon Or Honeydew Melon- $1.99 per kilo • 2kg bag Kestrel Potatoes- $2.99 each • Strawberries –2 FOR $7.00 • Orgran Rice and Corn Pasta Varieties, 250g- $2.75 each • Planet Organic Lapsang Souchong or Darjeeling Tea- $2.00 each FYI: SweetCorn is available again but still in short supply so is a wee bit more expensive. StayCrisp lettuces have begun to shorten. Did you know: We have created a bigger range of food colourings in recent weeks-it now includes oil based candy colours, powder colours, liquids and chocolate powder colours. The old Corella colours now look dated so they are getting sold out a $1 each (were $2.50 each!). It is so easy to put in an order and have your fruit and veg delivered! A Price list and order forms are attached to our email. You can use this to place an order by phone or fax or email, for pick up or delivery- however we can help you! Delivery for retail customers is available to your home or workplace- Balaklava on any shop day, Owen on Thursdays and then Port Wakefield is available on Mondays and Fridays, Lochiel on Friday. Wednesday delivery to Bowmans is available so don’t be afraid to ask. If you would like delivery in the surrounding areas let us know and we will see if we can swing by when in the area! Facebookers can use a word document if you like. You can fax, phone, email or drop off an order but if you do email, please give us a quick call if it is needed on the same day and you haven’t received a confirmation email so we know to go online. The night before you want an order is usually fine though. (When using our order forms enter how many items or the approximate weight of each into the spread sheets cells, save the file then send it back as an attachment) “You can’t buy happiness, But you can buy local and that’s kind of the same thing”.
