Hi Facebookers, Just a quick post to let you know how the Mundaring Club faired at the recent Australian Disc Golf Championships. Battling through the blistering heat our club members Andrew Ferguson, Chris Finn, Jason Browne & Steve Lomax did us all proud. In the Master’s division Steve managed 6th place with a +20 (215 in total), narrowly beating Jason who finished up on 7th on +22 (217 in total). In the Open division Andrew managed to tie for 15th, ending up on a hard fought +2 (197 in total). Chris mounted a late charge at the eventual winner Simon Feasey from New Zealand, to end the tournament in 2nd place by the narrowest of margins, 1 shot (-16, 214 in total). All in all it was a strong showing from our small club, congratulations gents on a fine performance. 2014 Australian Disc Golf Championships - Results pdga/tour/event/16742 Turning our attention to the first PDGA major in the southern hemisphere, the 2015 Aussie Open is shaping up to be a great tournament. The list of registered players is growing weekly. Some of the world’s best disc golfers are going to descend on Perth for what should be an unforgettable experience. David Feldberg, Devan Owens, Jussi Meresmaa, Paul McBeth and Simon Lizotte are all registered. Not to mention a raft of international disc golfers from the USA and Europe who are looking forward to a great experience. It is great to see some members have already registered, hopefully we see some more soon to help us represent our club in a once a lifetime opportunity to stand and play shoulder to shoulder with the current greats of our sport.
