Hi Folks, I would have already done 1 or 2 hikes during my first week of holidays so far, but, unfortunately, I strained a hamstring last Sunday. I think its OK now... Fingers-crossed. This Saturday (i.e. tomorrow, 1 Feb) Ill be doing a hike starting at 9.30am from the front gate of the bus station at Lingyin Temple. You can ride a red hire bike to the LingYin Bus Station and put it in at the bike point near the bus passenger tunnel entrance, if you like. Google Map: goo.gl/maps/AuGyP Baidu Map: j.map.baidu/0h_vT This hike will finish at ZheJiang University YuQuan Campus or the Hangzhou Botanic Gardens...? I think finishing at the HZ Botanic Gardens would be good for lunch somewhere on QingZhiWu (j.map.baidu/D5_vT) (near Amigo Bar). I also havent fully decided whether to do the 3.5 hour version or the 2-2.5 hour version. The main difference is whether to go directly up the hill behind Lingyin Temple, or to go south for a bit first... Im leaning towards the longer version... We can let the crowd decide, but be prepared for either. It will be warm towards the end, but we will be past the hard part by then. Id recommend that you take some extra water. You can buy it near the start and at the (halfway point of the longer hike). Friends, and friends of friends, are welcome. The speed wont be very fast. Cheers! PS. Sorry for the late notice!
