Hi, I am looking for advice or reassurance. I have a 3 almost 4 year old cob, who is backed and been turned away over the winter. I bought him in November and have had no problems with him at all, very quiet with a cheeky character. My 2nd horse but first youngster of my own but I have handled all kinds/ages of horses. I went down to see him today to feed him. He has been grazing all morning. When I jumped into his enclosure as normal he was very agitated and turned quickly as if he was to kick me. However after a verbal warning from me he took off. He then came running into his stable and was spinning and reared twice. This is soooo out of the blue for him. The only thing that was different was my mum was at the other side of the fence, he has met her before a few times but has never gone for me. Is it the weather? Or just my youngster being a brat? My goats were a bit mental today aswell so wondered if it just in the air. Thanks :)
