Hi I just came back from High 1 resort, this is a video from yesterday, I think the slope is Apollo 1. We stayed at Jeongsan Mayhills resort, travelled by train from Cheongyangri station to Gohan station and got a taxi to the resort, then there were shuttles from the hotel to the resort every hour. The resort has a sauna you can stay at overnight for 7 to 10,000 won per time (you can stay overnight), which is not included in the room cost. The rooms are spacious and pretty new, have a balcony, kitchen and large living and sleeping area with under floor heating and air conditioning. In the hotel there is a pool hall and GS25 in the basement, there are restaurants, and a norebang (singing room) but some facilities arent open during the week probably because there arent many people there. If you go with someone with a Korean credit card i.e. lotte the lift tickets are 30% off and you apparently can get discount vouchers from the various rental places in the resort or around the area. There are lots of places to eat and there is a supermarket there to buy food and anything else from about 200m from the resort, also we walked from the base of the lift and you can walk to the hotel in about 15 minutes. Its about 3000-4000 won for a taxi to get to the hotel from Gohan train station, 14700 from Cheongyangri station to Gohan, when you get to the Cheongyangri subway station you walk upstairs to the Cheongyangri KTX station, there is a lotte department store above and next to the station you leave from. The High 1 resort seems to have several towers and areas, there is a Casino and theyre connected by shuttle bus and some by cable cars. Skiing was good, the slopes open were good for beginners and intermediate, there was one advanced slope open, they have lots of snow machines so if there is not enough natural snow they make it, although it was early in the season so lots of slopes were closed. The video is from the advanced slope, it had a sign posted expert only but it wasnt that bad, just a little steep at the top to begin with.
