Hi I passed my PESCI with ACRRM for level 2 supervision. my cases were 1. 4yr old female presented with SOB at 2am. they asked all the differentials first. I started with DRABC approach. And then they asked salient features of each of the differentials and their management. 2. 52 yrs old male presented with lower back ache after lifting heavy weight. Again their pattern was same differentials, salient features, management. 3. ROLE PLAY: 62 yrs male presented with pain in the shoulders and neck. C/O tiredness. has tried everything like panadol, panadol osteo no relief. led me to polymyalgia rheumatica on top apart from other differentials. Side effects of corticosteroids. 4. 19 yrs female seeking oral contraceptives. Advise.you will give. STD screening. side effects At the beginning the panel assures you it is not about being right or wrong but about safe practice. Be very wary of 4Rs ,review, referral, red flags and reading material. I think these Rs are the key to pass this interview. If you are not sure you can add things like ( as there is nothing like going blank in Pesci. You can get away without knowing but saying..) - I will ask my supervisor - Check the guidelines - Consult the specialist I could not give them the side effects of azithromycin so I told a few and said I will look it up on the internet. Doing observership at the practice you are gonna sit PESCI for is very important both in terms of learning and to show it on your CV. I am one of those who first took amc2 and then sat for PESCI so I was not sure of how to prepare but now for others who are in the same boat as mine I want to suggest to go through handbook. It wont take a lot of time but can be really helpful as you can see (luckily) all my cases were from handbook. And go through important topics from JM. Please make sure this suggestion is not for those who havent taken amc2. All the best.
