Hi all... In full blown anxiety attack mode. Otis (my French Mastiff) tore his right ACL about 6-7 weeks ago. Hes on loads of meds, had been doing ok but between cold snap and the rest of the pack I dont know if he tweaked it or what. Hes not a surgery candidate unless its a life threatening procedure (barely made it out of the sock surgeries). Anyway, hes really favoring it but wants to be up and about so considering a cart for him to use while healing. My fear is hes going to blow the other leg because its taking the brunt of his weight. He floats between 135-150 lbs. Obviously a cart would be huge for him, Ive got a couple steps to address in the house plus just clearance for him to get through...I dont know if this is best option or just let him be. Im buying rubber mats for the tile tomorrow (entire house is tile, ugh) as Im afraid hes sliding too much as well. Any thoughts or suggestions? Im really worried, hes my heart dog. :(
