Hi everyone, the weirdest and thing just happened over the last night or two. I apologise if this sounds like Im gloating, but honestly, Im just really surprised and happy. Recently I have been receiving a flurry of Vimeo email notifications from my account here at vimeo/minhky. Okay, so a couple of people are liking my videos! Neat! Then suddenly Im told I am featured on thecuriousbrain. Okay, thats really nice of them to do so! Not only that, but my somewhat uneventful Twitter account as received a few mentions. ... Last night, I finally checked the view count my Something Savoury video from my University Major Project and lo and behold, it jumped from 6K views to 40K views. Wow. https://vimeo/111076177 Waking up this morning, its racked up to 65.2K views and still climbing. Im kind of shaken. This is only because, this has been a dream come true for me - to create something viral. At least in the Vimeo world, I think this counts as viral. I dont know how it happened. Not only did I achieve my goal of producing work that I love, but it was GOOD enough to turn out this way and sing on its own. Since starting my video-making/filmmaking/cinemetography/shootingcoolsmovingtuff career I told myself that I wanted this to happen. Well, it did. I couldnt wipe that stupid grin off my face. Now that it has, obviously this means I have to move on to my next dream, and that is to continue creating high quality, creative and engaging videos of this calibre for everyone to see. I will make it my lifes mission to entertain the world with my art. Thank you everyone who has given me their support all this time. There are too many names, but from the bottom of my heart, I am truly grateful. Rosalyn Hng, thank you for always being there.
