Hi shirley Last Thursday the 4th of December, people under the employment of the landlords came to maintain the secondary back yard area at 17 Acheron ave. They have left the property to disrepair and an eyesore. There are now occupational safety hazards in the main backyard, debris and rubbish, as well as damage to the larger of the two sheds, garden beds and house. Id like to negotiate a reduction in rent until such a time as the main back yard is repaired, cleaned and made safe. Ive attached some pictures to show the extent of the propertys state. I would never have rented this property if the backyard were in this state when i signed the lease. Kind regards, Laine Phillips ------------------ Hi Laine I have spoken to you hotmail7 r sister and informed her that the tradie will attend to the doorlock within the next couple of hours. The landlords have informed me that they will continue to maintain both front & rear gardens for you at no cost to yourself. From the photos you sent me, whilst it is still a little untidy, it is better than when you first moved in as the rear area was un-useable and extremely long. We also advise that the owners have refused permission to have a pet snake on the property. If you require any further information please do not hesitate to contact me. Regards, Shirley ----------------- Hi Shirley, Ryan and I went through great measures and many days pruning and weeding both the front and back garden. We are the ones who made it nice. We are the ones who pulled the grass out of the garden beds and planted plants. We are the ones who maintained it. I dont need any one to maintain it as i already am. Before we moved in we were assured the lawn would be mowed out front and back which is never was and the furniture had to be moved out to the shed ourselfs. As for the back yard we were told that the fenced off area was explicitly for the owners to maintain. You assured us that the landlords would maitain the fenced off area out the back and now is the first time they have. There are safety hazards in the backyard and they need to be removed. I spent a great deal of time making that yard nice by weeding and pruning and now its filled with debris and rubble and pool fences laying about. I will take it further if i have to as this is entirely unacceptable. As for the snake. That is like refusing to have a fish. A snake stays in the enclosure. I have always been a good tenant and paid my rent on time. I am so shocked and insulted. -Laine Philips
