Hi to all - Writing from Dublin Airport. Today is January 12, and is the fifth anniversary of the earthquake in Haiti; Im in Ireland for a commemoration the Andrew Grene Foundation is hosting in Dublin tonight, screening the short films you can see on andrewgrene.org . Going to take advantage of the early flight to go up to Belturbet churchyard, and have a minute there. But wanted to send this out to all before, just to say thank you for all the support over these years; and to say to anyone who happens to be around, well be having our annual Andrew Grene Foundation benefit concert in our NYC home, Paddy Reillys, 29th Street and Second Ave, on Friday 23 January. This will be another one of those wonderful, mad lineups, with musicians kindly donating their time and talent to make for an extraordinary evening; the lineup as of now includes: The Melodic Miners Allen Gogarty Padraig Allen & the McLean Ave Band The Lost Tribe of Donegal (featuring former Proddies Andrew Harkin and Brian Tracey) and of course, the Prodigals! More details TBD; but it will be starting around 7pm. Would love to see you there. All proceeds, as always, to benefit the Andrew Grene Foundation. And multiple bottles of Barbancourt await...
