Hit the headlines again!!! Brighouse Matters magazine has written: Care with style and a smile New business offers support with treatments A Brighouse woman is offering a new service to elderly people in the town. Julie Gomersall is aiming to support people in their own home with cleaning, shopping, gardening and companionship and, as a fully qualified hairdresser and beauty therapist, is also able to offer hair, hand and feet treatments. The service aims to assist elderly people who may be unable to get out and about or anyone who may need a little support in the home. It is hoped this support will add value to a person’s day, bring smiles and laughter through the door and leave them with a positive sense of wellbeing. Julie says: “Hopefully the business will evolve and develop to employ further like-minded people. I see this as a calling to help others as I lost my dad to cancer nearly three years ago and I have seen first-hand the impact it has on loved ones.” Julie has over 20 years’ experience within customer care and services and trained as a hairdresser and beauty therapist from school, worked in cosmetics in Leeds for seven years and also recently the NHS, until she was made redundant in March.—Matthew Callard.
