Hockey: Kshetrimayum Thoiba: One of the pioneers of Manipur Hockey. He was born on February 1, 1961 in Imphal, Manipur to Ksh. Giridhon and Ksh. Maikoibi. Ksh. Thoiba took to hockey early on in life and soon found his natural talent in the game. He played as a left-winger and was known for his speed and stamina. He was known for his physical strong and swiftness. He represented India many times brought laurels to India.
