Hold one another: Keys to a better marriage: Your key today is holding one another. Some of you might think this is going to far with what I am going to tell you but what I discovered over the years is beyond belief. Every time you want to have a serious talk with one another stop and hug one another or at the very least hold hands. I think the most powerful is when your arms are around her waist and her arms are around your neck looking into each other eyes. How can you not be paying attention when you can see every expression or every tear? You cannot hide when gazing into each others eyes. I find this position has the deepest effect. I know it always melted my heart. Well it also works when you hold their hands facing one another. The truth is by establishing the touching connection as well as the vocal one it helps to keep you calmer, it inspires a level of trust and its comforting to each other. It expresses love even when you must discuss difficult topics. You find you dont have to shout because you are both as close as a whisper. It lets the other spouse know that you are always there for one another. Some couples often would pray before they started talking about difficult topics and continued to hold hands as they discussed them. I found over the years this helps to keep each of our hearts soft to one another. Now I am not going to say adopting this key is easy but I am going to say the tenderness if helps to restore to the relationship is worth the awkwardness you will feel in the beginning.
