Hopefully yall dont get tired of my Uber adventures. Tonight I picked up four 22ish guys to take them to a bar. They are chatty and nice. Their fare was 5.64 and they gave me a 7.00 tip! About an hour later I get pinged again, and its the same guys. They want me to take them to another bar. Its closed, so we go to another one, then finally back to the house where they started. The whole time they are asking about my life. Of course they couldnt believe I had EIGHT kids! One of them said, What, did you start when you were ten? At one point one of the guys said, Do you want to get lit? Im thinking - American or British lit? So I say, I dont know what that means. He proceeds to then speak in my native tongue and asks if I want to drink with them. I said no. Then he said, Whats your husband doing right now? I then told him that he is likely partying in heaven. The car got silent. What did he die of? One of the boys asked. Mouth cancer. I answered. Then another boy says, so and sos dad has liver cancer. Another one says, My dad has esophageal cancer. And a third says, My mom has breast cancer. We all agreed that cancer effing SUCKS! All these young people - so affected by people they love with cancer. They broke my heart into a million pieces. They dont know it - but I loved on them with prayers after they got out of my car. But I think - they know it anyway.
