Hours after two rockets were fired from Gaza towards the Sderot - TopicsExpress

Hours after two rockets were fired from Gaza towards the Sderot area, setting a factory on fire and burning it down, two more rockets were fired by terrorists in the Hamas stronghold on Saturday night. The rockets fell in open ground in the Shaar Hanegev and Sedot Negev Regional Council areas. No damage or injuries were reported as a result of the missiles. Color Red rocket warning sirens were sounded before the rockets struck in communities in the two Regional Council areas. As noted, earlier on Saturday night two rockets fell in the Shaar Hanegev Regional Council area, one exploding in open ground outside of Sderot, and the other making a direct hit on the Denber plastic factory. The factory was set ablaze in a massive fire, which engulfed an adjacent paint factory as well. Ten firefighting units from Sderot, Beer Sheva, Ashkelon and Netivot eventually succeeded in controlling the fire and prevent it from spreading to other factories after an hour-long struggle with the massive blaze. One man in his fifties suffered mild injuries including wounds to his limbs, apparently from the blast of the rocket and ensuing explosions in the factory. The injured man was able to get to a Magen David Adom (MDA) station in the city on his own, and then was evacuated to the Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon by paramedics. Two others reportedly suffered light burns, and were evacuated to the Barzilai Hospital as well. The rocket fire from Gaza has escalated since Hamas terrorists kidnapped three Israeli teens on June 12. On Friday, the Iron Dome anti-missile defense system intercepted two rockets, just hours after a barrage of three rockets exploded in the Eshkol Regional Council, and a mortar shell was fired as well.
