How I spent my Labor Day Weekend : Saturday: Didnt it rain all day Too ? Sunday: Started installing the wooden Floor Joint on my Room Addition. (See Floor Plan further down on Facebook Page) Got seven floor joint cut and fitted but not permanent yet. They are easily removable at this point so I can complete the dirt excavation. This area is the new Bedroom Closet and the Alcove for my new Washer and Dryer plus the relocated Water Heater. I hope to have this under roof by cold weather. Monday - Labor Day : It rained off and on. I got a whole bunch of Dirt dug out in the center portion of the addition. This looks pretty good as hand dug crawlspaces go. Just a bit of final grading and I can hang Floor Joist here too. I moved a ton of dirt via wheel barrow and a strong back. Not bad for a 63 year old Heart Patient who just had stomach surgery just six weeks ago. I feel fine. Almost up to full speed. My Cardiologist says this is what will make me live until Im eighty. ( I said Ill have to get another Cardiologist, I want ninety-five at least and he wont last that long.) The area under the dining area and kitchen counter still remains to be excavated (as you can see from the photos). Thats another days work.
