How many of you share Anna Alis view on EBOLA? I DO,!,!,! There are people still travelling into Trinidad from countries with ebola..they are passing tru Toronto, the US and I think British airways closed their fights already.... Why wait for the deadly virus to reach here when you can close boarders from people coming from ebola risk countries to minimise the risk or returning nationals be quarantined at home for the 21 days ...in fact a month just to be secure? Im sure min of health/national security have no effective contingency plan for ebola. In Liberia, the hospitals have no proper drainage system and a lot of people got ebola from being exposed to the sewage that came from the hospitals via the drains etc. people dying on the street, all over in Liberia. How many patients can Caura hospital and the airport accommodate? Trinidad is such a small place. Do they even know how easily ebola can be spread? over 100 people can be affected in a day just by one person coming into the airport, touching the counter where someone else might touch too, using washroom, hiring a taxi, getting food to eat, sneezing or coughing around unknown people..look at how many people can transmit that deadly virus from one person to another. Close boarders and quarantine high risk nationals who enter to minimise the risk! I havent seen, read or heard about any Caribbean countries discussing this issue. St Vincent is the only country i know that requires a medical for people coming from ebola risk countries. Chik V is here and luckily it isnt that deadly, but 60% of Grenada population got chik v. not sure what % of Trinis got it.....so what if ebola arrives?? by the way, people does lie on their immigration form about feeling unwell. dont wait till they give 100 people before they confess like Thomas Duncan
