How many people in cold climates (Im in Michigan, Tawas area) heat your chicken coop? At the present time, we heat if the temp. is 35 degrees or below. This is our first time with chicks and we arent sure what to do. Also, how do you keep their water from freezing? Another question....when does their molting season begin, end and how long does it last? We have 7 hens (almost 7 months old) and are down to 4-5 eggs a day. Thanx for all of your help and advice!
