How poor are they that have not patience! What wound did ever heal but by degrees? Hurry not, rush not. Timing is everything; yet many of us would hurry life along. One without patience is one without joy. Impatience makes one become frazzled, out of control and unwise. Taking life one step at a time matters when you look to your Creator for guidance. Allow yourself to grow in patience as well as self control. Take a deep breath, count to ten, think on things that are uplifting, make plans, or change your focus. Do whatever it takes to diffuse the building up of tension brought on by impatience. When waiting in the grocery store line, say a prayer for another, try diverting your attention to what wonderful traits the store clerk might possess to maintain their job. Choose patience as a virtue to practice daily and walk with wisdom.
