How the world might end? Science shows its most promising theories - TopicsExpress

How the world might end? Science shows its most promising theories based in dark matter. However, in comparison I wondered about one caveat here. If we go back in time, when religions reigned supreme in most socieities, these entities also came up with their own versions of the end as well - which nowadays is either overlooked or simply stamped to be incorrect. Why? I mean if religious predictions were also future theoretical/educational statements (aka words of the divine based on their historical, cultural, sociological, and environmental events with limited available technology of that time), then how different are these current scientific theories that are also unknown for the most part, oh of course the comparison of knowledge is different (in terms of technology and what we perceive as facts) but im trying to look at the principle of defining a future based on calculated assumptions and theories.. the more I see discovered knowledge, the more cyclical it looks to me. I am glad that we are finding a lot of hows, just not a lot of concrete whys, why cant we find out the whys? Why does it have to be a lost question? Why cant we openly admit that its too difficult to figure that out? So why do we dismiss any other possibility besides scientific reasoning, is it because science was suppressed in the olden ages and now its time for science to overrule religion? Something to think about.
