How to NOT get the cold and flu (or Eboli): FIRST and most - TopicsExpress

How to NOT get the cold and flu (or Eboli): FIRST and most important step is infection control!!!!! You MUST teach all around you not only to COVER their mouth when they cough and sneeze but...HOW to cough and sneeze (which is into the crook of your forearms together and NOT your hands…which then touch everything….!!! Please ask sick employees/students/congregation members to stay home so as to not contaminate and infect others. SECOND: you MUST, this is not a suggestion, get a NETTI pot and practice using it. The SAME day/hour that someone carelessly sneezes and coughs around you - YOU GO USE IT THAT DAY - 3 times (am, mid day, pm) AND you gargle with warm water and salt and then later on, listerine. NOT just any mouthwash, but listerine (i.e. an anti-bacterial not just a minty cover up mouthwash) IF you had serious exposure, do this for 3 days …Let me explain physiologically why this works: Airborne pathogens need a petri dish a perfect breeding environment to be able to grow and multiply - the warm mucous membranes in your nasal and throat are the perfect breeding ground. The osmotic pressure of the high saline solution, and the mechanical process of flushing and gargling disrupt the lodging of the pathogens in your mucous membrane - they are literally washed away before then can imbed dig in, if you will - and multiply. BUT you MUST act soon! THIRD: If you want to be really cautious (and you are stuck flying on planes with coughers and sneezers) you should really plan to carry a face mask to put on...yes yes yes - youll have to work through how you look and get over it. The question will be: do you want to risk being the next Eboli victim because your pride kept you from looking like a surgeon on a plane ride? Or do you want to miss the next 10 days of work/life by catching the flu because of your one hour pride on the plane ride?? Carry a face mask in your purse, your backpack, your carry on - takes up no space - I store mine in a little zip lock baggie... FOURTH: FInd a way to eat garlic…cooked or raw…In WWII the Russians ran out of penicillin, and dispensed raw garlic for it can be AS effective against many streptococcal strains as penicillin!! Because of this (little known fact) garlic became known as Russian Penicillin; chicken soup (homemade is perfect in the crock pot dump in all this garlic) has properties to help with respiratory - EAT right to keep your body and immune system strong - what depletes? Too much sugar and processed foods - lean toward all those fruits and vegetables they contain micronutrients that can be life saving - these are DESTROYED in processed foods. FIFTH: NEVER touch those door handles in the bathroom after washing your hands …do you have any idea how many people wash their hands, then open the door…when so many nasty people NEVER washed their hands at all??? (There are statistics on this, and approximately 30% never wash, and 67% do a POOR job of it! (such as a mere water rinse) - so, when you grab the door knob…Voila you have taken in the germs - you will surely be touching food or gum or something that goes into your mouth…USE INSTEAD paper towel to open the door knob…or, even stand there until someone else comes in so you do NOT have to touch that door knob with your hands!!! Do NOT put your fingers in your mouth (e.g. biting your nails) a primary distribution vehicle for germs to ride into your body. Germs even more major than the common cold. Carry an antibacterial gel on you...always. Get a refillable pocket size. SIXTH: Take high dose Vitamin C with Bioflavanoids DAILY but if you are getting sick - exposed - up the dose - I endorse and recommend 1,000 - 3,000 mg DAILY but only take with bioflavanoids > I also endorse iv Vitamin C infusions if you are lucky enough to have a board certified MD who gets it and utilizes this treatment modality big Pharma does not want you to know about...ONCE the flu was coming upon me like a Mac Truck you know are are being slammed with the flu, and it felt hopeless Yup - I was going to be sick for one week, or...if I went to the doctor 7 days (a saying we used to say in the medical field)... HOWEVER - I went to the MD in Nashville who does this infusion, and had one session - it LEFT me like tide water receding on the ocean sand....Got on the plane and was NOT sick at all during my business trip. I did my research paper on Vitamin C/Linus Pauling in the 70s and I will assure you that big Pharma does NOT want you to know about this, and conventional MDs are NOT taught - they are taught to cut and prescribe...Being water soluble means it is SAFE and you will not over dose (as you can with fat soluble) Ok?? please trust me on this!!! > LASTLY ALSO VERY EFFECTIVE IS DAILY Airborne Effervescent tablets - take 3-4 times/day as soon as you feel onset of concern that symptoms are coming on. 7TH AND LAST: Eat right - think right > live right. …Fix what is stressing you. There is a hormone our bodies produce called cortisone- the stress hormone. It is a killer. When you allow stress, when you allow what is stressing you out... to STAY stressing you out (without taking positive action steps toward change) your bodies immune system becomes depleted from fighting the stress hormone coursing through your body...Fix the stress, follow the rest (steps 1-5) and.... I will promise you, that if you master the recommendations here, you most likely will sail through flu season without getting sick. URGENT NOTE: If you get a sore throat or fever, please DO go to a walk in clinic and get checked for strep - strep throat can be very destructive to all ages 1) it can damage your heart 2) it can damage/destroy your hearing, 3) An out of control strep infection can lead to death from organ failure! This all results from streptococcal toxic shock syndrome (caused by Streptococcus progenies. S. pyogenes is the bacterial species that causes strep throat, scarlet fever and rheumatic fever. Strep throat is BEST treated ASAP/immediately/STAT with a mega antibiotic such as Z-pak/azithromycin* (typically NOT an expensive anti-biotic as it is available widely generic) A simple throat swab is used. Easy cost effective test worth your time and money. Please DO NOT IGNORE a serious sore throat w/fever and try to heal strep with natural healing!!, folks - it is NOT worth the risk you are taking when you weigh cost to benefit ration. Trust me. An example of when the right pharmaceutical used at the right time can be life saving!!! THE TEST, again, IS AN EASY (inexpensive) COTTON SWAB get to your most convenient easy walk in clinic for this simple test, or call your primary care physician. Carole B Starr As BS MBA Health & Happiness Fitness Coach and Author Like Post Scripts for validation: HERE is a nice elementary YouTube video on the spread of germs for you! >youtube/watch?v=ssYvrtwFb8M AND, here is the CDC on preventing spread of Eboli (and the same recommendations are there for the flu) >cdc.gov/vhf/ebola/prevention/index.html Do NOTE this wording contained within the CDC recommendations for prevention of catching: The virus can enter the body through broken skin or UNPROTECTED mucous membranes in, for example, the eyes, nose, or mouth THIS IS WHY YOU NEED TO GET OVER YOUR PRIDE AND CARRY A FACE MASK ALWAYS so that you do NOT INHALE the germs being passed by coughing and sneezing….and pretend you’re a surgeon! An ounce of prevention is worth a TON of regret....
