How weird. For more than a month, my newsfeed was full of people doing the ALS ice bucket challenge, about five or six a day. Then, poof! All of it just suddenly stopped! What happened? And for more than a month after Robin Williams died, there were multiple, multiple, multiple posts from people crying over his death. I read poems dedicated to him, prayers said for him, watched clip after clip of his stand-ups, his movies, his TV shows. Then, poof! Magically, its alllll gone. Are we that short-sighted that we work ourselves up into a lather about something and then very conveniently abandon it when its no longer a popular cause?
