Howdy to anybody that receives this ridiculously long status post ;) Its that time of year again... 7 days to Christmas and time to start my now annual traditional 7 song countdown! A quick recap - 2 yrs ago I did a countdown of probably my favourite Christmas songs (Dad had just gone and it felt right) and then last year I did an Anti-Christmas countdown so this year Ive decided to countdown the last 7 days with a NON-Christmas Christmas Countdown! Made perfect sense to me :) Basically these are songs that remind me of Christmas even though theyre not actually Christmas songs? Some have over the years been associated with Christmas but most are just random songs that for some random reason are connected (in my head anyway) to this time of year... So thats the basic idea behind this years list - Unlikely anybody will agree with this as its fairly personal but either way Im just gonna do it! So as not to forget the previous two years - my plan is to post links to my other countdowns at the same time, both for comparisons and to prove Im not a total misery grinch! (as some of this years tracks are fairly down beat) Before I post my first track, I have to say that today (18/12) for some reason always reminds me of Dad (missed every day still). I think its cause of Hurts Christmas song which is not in this years countdown but is now my favourite Christmas song ever. . . So here we go - My first choice in my NON Christmas list for 2014 is The King himself!
