Hunter: Timeline, Northern Minnesota 29 March 2014 19:21, My monkey boy went to the Veterinarian today to be checked out. Apparently his prostate gland is swollen and pinching on his poop chute which is not allowing him to have a bowel movement. They gave him a pain killer for the pain, poor dog was stoned out of his gourd when I picked him up. They also gave him a shot of Amoxicillin 2000 mg. They gave pills for home, 500 mg Amoxicillin 1 pill twice a day plus some really great pain killers 1 pill twice a day as well. Dog is going to be like a junky looking for his hit by the time the 3 weeks of treatment is over. He will be stealing other dogs food and selling it just to fill his need for one more hit. The pain drug is a derivative of Morphine. After this 3 week span is over with, the vet suggests I do what I wouldnt wish on any male, cut his nuts off. The vet says it will alleviate this problem from ever happening again. I am worried that he will be in extreme pain after this procedure is over, but after 3 weeks of being a morphine junky, I dont think he will care much about anything. Doctor said he will improve over the next couple of days and return to his normal self. I am much relieved.
