Hunting became a part of my life several years ago, and it truly changed me in ways that are hard to explain. I became more aware of our natural resources…spent countless days and nights in the woods and wilderness appreciating every blessing given to me and as a result became much closer to God. Hunting experiences are just as wonderful to me coming home with meat to feed my family as they are coming home without having taken a shot. In fact, being a bow hunter, it’s actually a rare occasion when I do take a clean shot opportunity. I often pack out more than I bring in, because I can’t walk away from seeing litter and things that don’t belong in nature. I don’t trophy hunt for things to hang on my walls…my trophies are in the form of individually wrapped, portioned for two, no preservatives added, gifts of various creatures that were crossing paths with me at just the right time.
