We are currently looking for… CADD Standards Specialists Multiple positions, up to two years in Toronto, Ontario (Reference #SOC-2013-0056-E) Utilizing your expertise in CADD, you will develop and maintain a detailed database of current engineering design applications, investigate new systems, and assess where improvement may be necessary. Collaborating with the drawing production services team, you will support design endeavours in structural, electrical, mechanical, and architectural areas of construction. You will coordinate all CAD design application related activities, ensure all inputs and outputs are integrated effectively and efficiently, and actively define, implement, and execute closeout stages of projects. Accountable for the improvement, consistency, and overall performance of CADD within the workplace, you will establish best practice standards, perform functionality maintenance through regular drawing and model audits, and highlight opportunities to increase program effectiveness. A natural team player, you will coordinate CAD software load, setup, and configuration on all employee workstations. Your excellent interpersonal skills and core strength in troubleshooting and providing technical support to coworkers are critical to the successful launch and sustainable use of CADD. Your degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent work experience is complemented by six years in a role related to support, integration, and development of CADD design application. Additionally, you have an in-depth knowledge of 2D and 3D applications, and exemplary communication and organization skills allowing you to prepare and deliver comprehensive employee training programs. Experience in electrical power systems and construction, operation and maintenance, and design program troubleshooting, is essential.
