I. First of all, I hope you guys know that all the acrostics I have written will be featured in the book I am going to be using the whole of next year to write. If you didnt know, well, now you know. You all will soon be famous. Secondly, for those I havent written an acrostic, please please please inbox me your name as you want it to appear, and one or two things on what your name means, and let me do the rest. By the way, I need a thousand of such names, and its going to be on a first come first serve basis. All that written, if there is any post of mine that I need you guys to share and get friends to share, it is this one. II. So its no more news that I am taking on the first and second oldest extant works of Western literature; Iliad and Odyssey. These books of myth stories consist of 27, 803 lines, and I plan to write a book of poetry that will have 30, 000 lines. Personally, I dont think this task is a hard one per se. For instance, without spacing, a hundred lines can fit into two pages of a word document with font of 12. What does that mean? To write a thousand lines, one just has to write 20 pages. And that is two pages per day for 10 days. I dont think thats a VERY tough challenge. I dont. So that in 300 days, I should be done. And that will be 600 pages in all. This is if everything is muddled up without spacing at all. Anyone still thinks this is an impossible task? There are novels of 5, 000 pages, why not poetry, right? And why cant it be just one poem? III. Like I wrote in my last post on this subject, It took homer ten years to compile Iliad, because the Trojan war lasted for 10 years. It also took him 10 years to compile Odyssey because the journey back to Ithaca from Troy lasted another 10 years. As much as there are very very sound and logical arguments that Homer couldnt have written these works, because of the materials, and people in it, and some have also said that he merely compiled all the myth that was in existence; I, for the sake of this mission, will consider Homer the author of both works. So Homer wrote those works, and he did it in twenty years. Here is my mission: I will compile a 30, 000 line work, and I will do it in a year. This compilation that I am working on should very much be the longest poem in Africa, and I dare write, the world at large. So join me in making History! Lets do this! IV.
