I HATE HATE HATE SUMMER AP ASSIGNMENTS!!!!! I am a strong advocate of the importance of education. And that includes the complete child, not just the academic side. My children are very involved in school and choose (yes they chose, not me) to take advanced courses, but seriously!! These kids need their summer to relax and get away from all the pressures of high school but they have to do assignments all summer??? Why bother to have a summer only to take it away with more work that will probably not even be given adequate credit for the amount of hours of SUMMER it took to complete these packets?!? I do believe that education is essential, but so is family and taking time to relax and enjoy life.
