I actually kind of sympathize with Ms. Hyun-ah here. Shes an airline executive in charge of food service. The service she observed was sub par and she demanded that her staff meet the standard of excellence she set for them. It sounds ridiculous to delay a flight over snack service (and who knows how the whole thing escalated) but it makes a good headline. Im pretty sure this could have been handled much more diplomatically, but if she were Steve Jobs we’d probably be lauding her for her uncompromising commitment to excellence. Also, why is it that anyone who makes any kind of mistake those days has to resign?
