I am 22. Most young people at my age enjoy their #YOLO kind of life - gimmicks on Friday nights, clubbing on Saturday nights and having their own adventures one after another. Call me weird but mines different. I go to Malate Church for Holy mass at six in the morning on weekdays, I read the Bible everyday, I pray the rosary, I attend dance ministry rehearsals every Wednesdays, I give talks to the ministry every 4th Wednesday of the month, I attend meetings with youth heads every 3rd Thursdays of the month, I serve through the worship ministry and youth ministry on Friday nights at The Feast Manila, I serve at prayer meetings/youth gatherings every 4th Saturday of the month, I lead worship, I give talks, I attend my monthly connect groups, I take part in doing team buildings, retreats and youth camps with our youth ministry, I often do one-on-one dates to disciple people and learn from them as well, I dont miss Holy Mass, worship and talk every Sunday at The Feast PICC and teach kids through the kids ministry afterwards (at madami pang iba). Hey! THIS DOESNT MAKE ME A LIVING SAINT nor this DOESNT make me BETTER than the rest of the youth out there. NO. I am NOTHING but a SINNER wretched apart from my beautiful Savior. I am still a work-in-progress AND I am no way fault-less. He was just that crazy to know me so well and love me still! I AM SAVED BY GRACE. AND just for ONCE, let me tell you this. You know what? THIS. IS. THE. #YOLO. KIND. OF. LIFE. FOR. ME. This is my own version of true adventure. This is my making-the-most-out-of-my-youth kind of journey. And I JUST TRULY LOVE IT. What else is more rewarding than witnessing the unchurched and the lives of the youth change as you serve while having all the aspects of your life blessed all at the same time? However, I consider my life worth nothing to me if I would only finish the race and complete the task that the Lord Jesus has given me, the task of testifying the good news of Gods grace. Acts 20:24 What Ive come to learn from my journey is that ONLY IN MY RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS can I ever find TRUE and PERMANENT kind of JOY (I am sooooooo excited for more!!!!). YES! You only have ONE LIFE. You get ONE CHANCE. You only have ONE NOW. One today. In this life, you only get to leave footprints. Where are they going to lead? It is ALWAYS our choice. We need to have a goal. And as Christians, it is Christ. The concept of #YOLO is NOT to go out and party, drink and all that. It is you only live once, so do something THAT MATTERS. We have to impact the world for Jesus. We are called to make a difference for the Kingdom. Make your steps last. CHALLENGE: LET US MAKE OUR ONE LIFE COUNT FOR CHRIST. :) #youngandlovingit #proudcatholic #lifelivedforChrist #scripturetimereflections
