I am a Daughter, a Sister, a Mother, a Grandmother, a Quilter, a Woman of Faith, and so much more. I am also a Reader. When I post on facebook, I write like Im writing a good book....dont give away the ending until the ending. Lead up to it. Explain well. My Point? Please read until the end. Yesterday I posted regarding my church buying a bowling alley - the lead in. The Climax at the end said: And, I feel so Honored that at the first Service in our new Home on Sunday, they will be showing part of the Interviews that the Minister and Videographer did of me and my Personal Challenge to complete the 62 (actually 64) Little Dresses for Africa. I Truly Am Blessed. Several people took issue with my post, saying that it was not quilt related, to which I responded: The quilting part of it ___________ is that I am a quilter and made 64 Little Dresses for Africa as part of the Share N Care Ministry of my church, and that they have taken notice because of the amazing church family that they are. Many quilters are those who donate the fabric to make the dresses and their time to sew them. On Quiltvilles Open Studio, my post was taken down. I am a big girl. I can take it. However, there are posts almost daily that are not quilt related that I truly implore the moderator to NOT TAKE DOWN REGARDLESS OF COMMENTS THAT THEY ARE NOT QUILT RELATED. What comments do I refer to? Those asking for Prayers for themselves and others due to a death, illness, surgery, and any other number of reasons we, as human beings sharing an existence on this planet have to require assistance and upliftment by others. I Pray. I Pray for each person and their family and their Pets requiring Loving Assistance from a Benevolent Higher Being which I happen to call God, but is known by many names and many people. I also Pray for the people writing the is not quilt related comments that when the time comes, as it will, in their lives, that they do not hesitate to post on a quilt related site asking for prayers and upliftment as it will surely come, regardless of their past state of mind. Quilters have enormous hearts. Just give us the chance to show you how large they are. And....so this is more quilt related, Here are some pictures of the quilt I made for my Mother for Christmas Eve 2011.
