I am also soliciting strong firsthand (meaning YOU experienced it or witnessed it) accounts of school drills for lockdowns. We got reports on this from school districts across the country, which strikes me as unusual since school districts are not Federally managed but locally managed. So...is this something in the air that school administrators are responding to, post-Columbine? Is there someone serving on a school board who can tell us where the idea comes from -- where the curriculum (since they are all-day events in some schools now) comes from? A parent source here in the Hudson River Valley says that there is a state trooper in NYS who specializes in a curriculum involving a lockdown scenario with teachers and a laser gun....and that he is booked to go to schools throughout the area....we need to report out this story, team!
